Despina Volidi is a graduate from the Physiomathematical College from the University of Weather in Egypt and also has a degree in Set Design and Clothing Design from the Bakalo School. She has worked as a mathematician and as a graphic designer for the advertising company of “RADAR” in Egypt. While she has also worked as a book cover designer and as a graphic picture designer with the publishing houses: “KASTANIOTIS”, “ARSENIDIS”, “AQUARIUS”. Furthermore, she has worked as a set designer for the Architectural company of Research KAPA E.P.E.
As a set and clothing designer she has worked on multiple T.V. shows in cooperation with the ERT1, ANT1, and MEGA. In the theater she has done the set and costume design for over 70 plays, from 1991 until today for almost all of the theaters in Athens.
She has showcased her work at the “Set Designers of Bakalo” gallery and all the while she introduces seminars for the ministry of culture with the topic of “Modern and Ancient Theater”.
